In Tennessee

Album | Alvin Lee
2004 also saw the release of “In Tennessee” an album that had been a labour of love for Lee. Paired with original Elvis Presley sidemen Scott Moore and D.J. Fontana and recorded in Nashville from the jazz-seasoned bop of “Let’s Boogie” to the Chuck Berry–style rock of “How Do You Do It” and the blazing boogie of “Tell Me Why,” the upbeat tunes capture an infectious sense of fun. It even has a rootsy take on Lee’s Ten Years After classic “I’m Going Home”.

Saguitar

Album | Alvin Lee
With extensive tours behind him, Alvin Lee focused on playing occasional festivals and recording. Named in honour of Alvin’s star sign (Sagittarius) 2007’s “Saguitar” shows Lee’s love of Rockabilly and Blues with “Memphis” and “Motel Blues” and even has a brief foray into rap. Lee plays almost all the instruments featured on the album (excluding keyboards by Tim Hinkley) and the album is filled with personal and energetic style.
